Hey There !

A little about me, I'm a current Sophomore studying Fashion Design at Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD). Before coming to SCAD, I received my Bachelors in Entrepreneurial Management with a minor in American Sign Language at The University of Iowa. I graduated in the Spring of 2023.  As I continue to use these skills and broaden my toolkit at SCAD, I am creatively learning and discovering more and more everyday. It's my dream that through the combination of both my degrees, I can curate clothing while facilitating the business aspect of a company.

Why Fashion?

My first memory of sewing was when I was around nine years old. I had begged my mom to buy me this silk hot pink material at Hobby Lobby. Later that night she helped me cut out a design for my teddy bears. She would pin the pieces together so I could hand sew it. Flash forward six years and I finally made my first homecoming dress with my Grandma. We continued this tradition and made a dress every school year. Sewing and designing has been an art that allows me to bring my ideas to life. It's connected to my two grandmothers who both made their children clothing. I also believe Blair Waldorf from Gossip Girl said it best. "Fashion is the most powerful art there is. It's movement, design, and architecture all in one. It shows the world who we are and who we'd like to be."
